How the follow gate works

  1. They send your keyword

    In a comment, a story reply or a DM. Any automation that sends a DM can use the gate.

  2. They’re asked to follow

    A short message and a button that says “I’m following ✓”, unless you write your own.

  3. Instagram confirms it

    On every tap, 30fps checks the follow through the official API. Followers get the link; everyone else gets a reminder.

  • Checked, not assumed. Tapping the button isn’t enough. Instagram has to say they follow.

  • Your words. Write the follow message, the reminder and the button label. Instagram allows 20 characters on a button.

  • Open for 24 hours. Follow later in the day, tap again, and the link still comes.

  • Reminders that stop. After 8 nudges it goes quiet. The gate stays open until the 24 hours are up.

  • Optional hello first. Start with a friendly opening message and a “Send me the link” button before asking for the follow.

How does 30fps know someone followed?

When they tap the button, 30fps asks Instagram’s official API whether that account follows yours. The link only goes out if Instagram says yes.

What if they tap before following?

They get a reminder to follow and tap again. The check runs on every tap for 24 hours, so the link arrives as soon as they’ve followed.

Can I change the messages?

Yes: the follow request, the reminder and the button text. Instagram limits button labels to 20 characters.

Does the follow gate cost extra?
